Birdbath and one-off hand forged birdbath base (by Sweet Briar Forge). The birdbath is made in frost proof stoneware and is decorated with incised lines and turquoise, lime and cobalt blue lead free glazes. The hand forged base is finished with beeswax and will develop a rusty patina over time, although it can be wire brushed and rewaxed if you wish. foot ring sits firmly into the base, easily removed for cleaning.

Hand forged steel, beeswax finish.

If you wish to rewax: scrub with a wire brush to remove loose rust or dirt, heat up with a hot air gun or gas torch and appy raw beeswax.
