This recycled oak, handmade bird box with its stoneware ceramic pan-tile roof, inspired by the Art Deco Seaside homes on the South Coast. It is made to order (please allow up to 6weeks for delivery).
The bird box internal measurements are 145mm deep x 135mm wide x 200mm high . External measurements are 240mm deep x 210 wide x 310mm high. It has a side opening for cleaning at the end of the season and is supplied with fixings to mount it securely.
This box is suitable for garden birds up to the size of a starling. The aperture size can be selected to suit the type of bird you wish to attract. 25mm for small birds such as blue tits, coal tit and marsh tit. 32 mm for slightly larger garden birds like great tit, tree or house sparrow, nuthatch and lesser spotted woodpecker and 45 mm for starlings. The ceramic entrance plate will deter any larger birds or predators from enlarging the hole.
l am happy to make larger boxes for owls or open fronted ones for robins etc. or adapted to accommodate a wildlife camera (to be purchased separately) If you have a specific requirements please get in touch.
Glaze colours for roof and entrance plate can be selected from : Lime, Turquoise or Yellow glazes.
The boxes featured are in Turquoise and lime glazes. With an entrance hole of 35mm.
